About these terms

These terms apply to CarKey: Hire a Driver and CarKey Partner (the "apps"), operated by R Nithin (trading as CarKey), 10, 13th Cross, Vigneshwara Nagar, Sunkadakatte, Bengaluru 560091. By using an app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or over.

Our role

CarKey is a marketplace. We connect customers with independent driver partners. Partners are independent professionals; they are not our employees, and we do not employ them or direct how they drive.

Accounts

• You sign in with your phone number. Keep your device and OTPs private.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Partners must complete our verification (licence check, police verification certificate and proof of address) before activation, and we may suspend or refuse an account that fails it.

Bookings and cancellations

A booking is confirmed when a partner accepts it. Customers must have the right to have their car driven and keep valid documents in the vehicle.

Payments

Prices are shown in the app before you confirm a booking. Payments are processed by our payment provider when payments are enabled in the app. Partner earnings are credited as shown in the partner app.

Conduct

• Treat others with respect. Harassment, discrimination and violence are not allowed.
• Do not use the apps for anything illegal or to commit fraud.
• Partners must hold a valid licence, obey traffic laws and must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Customers must not ask a partner to break the law.

Safety

In an emergency, call the emergency services first. Report incidents to support@getcarkey.in. We review partner documents before activation, but we cannot guarantee any individual's conduct.

Limits of liability

The apps are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, CarKey is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of partners or customers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and ending your account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time; see Delete account.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
